How far in advance should I purchase my wedding gown?
The answer to this question varies. Your wedding colour scheme, bridesmaid colours, suit accessories usually co-ordinate with the bride's gown - therefore the gown is usually the first purchase!
There are no set rules however and it is entirely your decision as to when you purchase but the following guidelines may help -
Whilst most bridal shops including ourselves need to order their gowns possibly from abroad they can take up to 5 months to come through.
Here at the Studio a selection of our gowns are 'off the rail' meanng the gown is here and ready for alterations or dry cleaning.
We are not stockists for all the designers and therefore cannot order any off the rail gowns in to your size.
We can order to size the gowns by Victoria Kay and Busy B's as detailed below.
We can in certain circumstances have your gown altered, cleaned and pressed in less than a week!
You are also welcome to purchase on the day and organise your own alterations should this be preferable.
Busy B's Gowns can be ordered in UK szs 8-32 and are usually with us within 8 weeks dependant on time of the year.
We can have a 'rush' order put through for about 3 weeks though this is at the companies discretion and will need to be confirmed.
Victoria Kay gowns are ordered in UK szs 8-32 and usually take 20 weeks to arrive or 10-12 for Prom and Bridesmaid.
Both suppliers have a small surcharge for gowns over size 22 - however we DO NOT charge you extra for this!!! The tag price is the same regardless of your size.
Do you offer an alteration service?
We do offer a first class alteration service with a highly skilled and dedicated seamstress who has many years experience. Alterations are charged for seperately but are very reasonably priced and worth every penny to ensure your gown fits like it was made for you! No payments for alterations are taken until you are 100% satisfied with the gown.
Can I get everything I need from The Studio?
We get asked this a lot - most customers prefer to get everything under one roof so we do our very best to supply fabulous bridal gowns, bridesmaid, flowergirl gowns, and all accessories. We even stock silk bouquets and buttonholes for that finishing touch. Men's Formal Hire is also offered for your Groom!!!
Do I need an Appointment to visit the Studio?
The answer to this is 'yes'! We work exclusively by appointment so we can offer you the customer the best possible customer service and ensures you have our full attention at all times.......no interruptions from walk in customers allows a relaxed atmosphere for you to try on the gowns with no worries about who may walk in the door!!!!!
Do you offer an Easy Payment Plan?
Yes of course! We call it 'Easy Pay' - enabling you to pay a deposit and then in installments. Deposits can also be taken in installments however your gown will not be altered until 50% deposit is paid in full. We do not purchase any gowns from the general public under any circumstances. We only sell brand new ex samples gowns off the rail and of course brand new gowns from our current suppliers.
